Who doesn’t want longer, more lush lashes? Although my lashes are long they aren’t overly lush, but my eyebrows, on the other hand are pretty sparse, thanks to over-plucking in the 90s. I saw a friend of mine say how amazing WildMint Lush Lash Natural Eyelash Enhancing Serum is for both lashes and brows so when it was on offer, I bought a tube to try out. So does this serum actually work? Read my WildMint Lush Lash review for all the details and to see my before and after photos.

Are you a fan of Salt Water Sandals? For the past five years I have worn Salt Water Sandals practically every day for the whole of summer. I have two pairs of Salt Water Sandals, one matte gold and one shiny pale pink, and I live in them, all summer long. Summer is here finally, and with summer, comes my annual testing of the latest clean sunscreens. I thought I’d cracked it last year with REN Clean Screen. But I’ve found one that I like even more this year! Meet Sukin Sheer Touch SPF30 Sheer Touch Sunscreen. It’s reef safe sunscreen suitable for facial use, that comes in tinted and untinted versions. It has mineral, rather than chemical sun protection.

I’ve tested both the untinted and tinted versions of this reef safe sunscreen, so which is best? …

It’s Plastic Free July, a time to think about our use of single use plastics and see what we can do to cut down on this habit. Let’s be clear right away though — it’s definitely not a reason to chuck out the plastic you have! If you have it, use it! And use it until it falls apart! Those old Tupperware containers? The…

When you’re moving over to a more eco friendly and ethical life, some things are really easy. Like swapping disposable cotton pads for reusables. Or taking a refillable bottle instead of getting plastic disposable bottles. (I have 30+ easy plastic free swaps if you want some more ideas!) But some eco swaps can be so hard you might tempted to give up. For me, natural deodorant is definitely in that camp. When you try a zero waste natural deodorant that doesn’t work, it’s not only embarrassing, it’s also a waste of money. And a waste…

A couple of weeks ago, I went to the most wonderful workshop, all about slow, sustainable fashion, with stylist Donna Tweedale. Her workshop was a guide to making more sustainable wardrobe choices, and it was the loveliest chance to think about my own wardrobe. Are there any gaps in my wardrobe, and what is the most sustainable way to fill those wardrobe gaps. I have been working on making my wardrobe more sustainable for a few years now, either by wearing second hand, upcycling or mending old favourites, and when buying new, supporting small, ethical and eco brands using sustainable…

I have a jumper that’s at least eight years old. It’s my absolute favourite as it’s 100% cotton, so soft and never itchy. It used to be a bright coral pink, but has faded to a soft pink that is almost as nice. I’ve had to mend it multiple times, but mostly under the arms and along the seams of the sleeves. It’s so delicate now that I am scared to wash it, as every time I do, a new hole appears. It’s definitely time for a thrifty upcycle!

It was literally falling apart at the seams! I thought I’d…

According to Generation Z, skinny jeans are very much out of style and a sure sign that you are ‘OLD’ and ‘PAST IT’. Well, I beg to differ. Until Lockdown dressing made lounge wear every day wear, you’d have had to prise me out of my skinny jeans. But now they aren’t looking so desirable from a comfort perspective… or at least that’s what I thought, until I discovered comfortable, sustainable jeans made from bamboo and organic cotton! It took me a year or so to get on board with skinny jeans after my long…

It is peony season: the happiest time of the year! I had peonies in my wedding bouquet as I was a June bride, and they are my absolute favourites. But where is the best place to get your ethical and sustainable peonies, and other cut flowers? Let me tell you! I’ve recently discovered Arena Flowers, who are the UK’s no 1 rated ethical florist, and based near me in Milton Keynes. I ordered myself the most beautiful bouquet of peonies, and I wanted to show you how gorgeous they are.

Are you curious about period pants? I get asked about them a lot. I’m so happy to see more people talking about swapping from disposables to reusable period pants and menstrual cups. Although I have written about making a sustainable swap to period pants, I’ve never dedicated a whole blog post to them. So this is everything you need to know about reusable period underwear (but were afraid to ask!)

Everything You Need to Know About Reusable Period Pants

In my circles at least, it seems to be really taking off and I can tell you from personal experience that it’s the way forward…
